I grew up in the Midwest and I have been horse obsessed and around them since I can remember. My aunt and uncle always owned Hackney ponies so I was exposed to the Saddlebred and saddle seat world. Yet where my family lived Morgans were more popular so I started showing them. I’ve been riding since I was four years old, my roots are in saddle seat but as I have grown older I have dipped into other disciplines and enjoy jumping and rodeo events too. Anything horse related will catch my interest regardless of breed or discipline.
Now I live in Texas on a small piece of land with my two horses, Mara and Dan, and a donkey, Taco. This blog is meant for my thoughts on their training progress, my successes and failures as I try to do it all on my own, plus my review on horse tack and supplies I have purchase to give back to the horse blogging community with what worked and what didn’t.
Sometimes I can’t help but post non-horsey stuff, happenings in my life which normally involves the cats or the dog.
